BMATS welcomes international students who are preparing for Christian ministry, theological study, and leadership within the global church.
We are committed to serving students from diverse cultural and national backgrounds through accessible, accredited, and Christ-centered theological education.
Most international students complete their studies through BMATS’s online-first programs, allowing them to pursue formal theological education without relocating to campus.
Eligibility for International Applicants
International applicants must meet the same academic admissions standards as domestic students, along with additional requirements related to language proficiency and documentation.
Applicants may pursue undergraduate or graduate degree programs, as well as select certificate programs, depending on academic background and ministry goals.
English Language Proficiency
Applicants whose primary language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency to ensure success in seminary-level coursework.
BMATS requires a minimum composite score of 80 on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
Additional documentation or evaluation may be requested as part of the admissions review process.
Academic Records & Transcripts
International students must submit official academic transcripts from all previously attended institutions. In some cases, transcripts may need to be translated or evaluated to determine academic equivalency.
The admissions team will review prior coursework to assess eligibility and placement within the chosen program.
Online Study & International Students
BMATS primarily serves international students through online instruction. Courses are designed to support students across time zones and ministry contexts, with flexibility built into course delivery and participation.

Visa & Residency Information
BMATS does not currently sponsor student visas for on-campus study. International applicants are encouraged to pursue online programs unless otherwise advised by the admissions office.
